Karaoke Party
You might think a karaoke theme is very coarse and awkward for your party, but on the contrary it's lots of fun! Why? Well, you guests will have a chance to sing their favorite hit without feeling the least bit shy. The atmosphere is also more relaxed, so everyone can be themselves. Enough of those awkward and quiet dinner parties. A karaoke party theme will let everyone feel the groove and have a wonderful time.
You might want to hold your party in a karaoke bar or in a restaurant with karaoke rooms. It's an easier and hassle-free option, since you won't have to worry about preparing the food, the decorations and the karaoke machine. Just remember, it can be a bit more costly.
If you want to have the party in the comfort of your own home, you can do so.
To have a funky "karaoke atmosphere" dim the lights a little, and set up twinkling party lights around the place. A disco ball will also be a great addition to the venue
A karaoke party won't be complete without a sturdy stage! Get a carpet or throw rug (a silver one or one that shimmers will be a great choice) and put it in a section of the venue, as a make shift stage area. Then use a bright lamp as the spotlight to shine on the singer.
As for the food, you might want to keep it simple. After all, everyone's probably focused on singing rather than eating. Munchies such as salted nuts, hummus and pita, cheese and crackers, and chips and dip would suffice. Put these in bowls and place them around the place, where your guests can reach them. For the drinks, alcoholic beverages such as cocktails would be okay, but it'll also be nice if you have sodas and juice drinks too.
To add a unique twist to your party, you can give out prizes to your guests. Awards such as "Best Song", "Wackiest Song Number/Choice", "Best Impersonation" and "Most Enthusiastic Singer" will be great and everyone would appreciate it!
A karaoke would be a great idea for your party! So go ahead and tell everyone to prepare all their favorite songs, and get ready to have a wonderful time!
